Acceptable Use Policy
Effective date: 3 August 2026
This policy is part of our Terms of Service. VodSmith processes
video you upload and gives it back to you as an edited video. Almost everything here
reduces to one idea: upload what is yours, and use the Service as the product it is.
Content rules
Do not upload, process, or generate with the Service:
- content you do not have the rights to use, including other people’s streams,
broadcasts, or footage recorded without permission;
- music you do not own or have not licensed for this use;
- content that is unlawful where you are or where we operate, including material that
sexualizes minors (reported to NCMEC and law enforcement, account terminated
immediately), non-consensual intimate imagery, or true threats;
- content that harasses, defames, or invades the privacy of a specific person, including
footage edited to target someone; or
- malware or any content designed to compromise the devices of people who watch your
output.
Service rules
Do not:
- probe, interfere with, or disrupt the Service, or access another customer’s
account, projects, or media;
- circumvent usage limits, metering, or pricing, including by splitting work across
accounts created for that purpose;
- resell, sublicense, or offer the Service to others as a service without our written
agreement; or
- use automated tools to create accounts or submit jobs at a scale a person editing
their own VODs would not.
Enforcement
Violations can lead to content removal, suspension, or termination under section 7 of
the Terms. Repeat copyright infringement leads to account termination under our
DMCA Policy. Where the law requires it, we report and cooperate with
law enforcement. If we terminate an account for a violation, unused credits are
forfeited.
Reporting
To report content or behaviour that breaks this policy:
[email protected]. For copyright notices, use the
process on the DMCA page.
